Grown Unschooler Needs Help with Research Study

Erin Katherine Johnson, a lifelong learner, needs help with her thesis project.

Attention autodidacts: Erin Katherine Johnson, a lifelong learner herself, is a graduate student at Goddard College in Vermont getting her MA in Education-Individualized Studies. And she needs your help with her thesis project!

For my graduate thesis project I desire to collect personal stories about individuals developing trust of the self with regard to their capacity for learning. My aim is for participants to reflect on a specific learning situation in their life where they were able to overcome fear and gain fresh confidence in their capacity for learning in either a physical, emotional or intellectual context. Once I have a collection of stories to work with I will see what themes and topics arise that call for analytical attention and deeper theoretical research.

You can learn more about Erin, her project, read some of the stories that have already been submitted, and learn how to submit your own story here.
